The City of Perry is dedicated to providing efficient, quality service by working in partnership with individuals, organizations and businesses, to enhance the quality of life and create a healthy, vibrant community in which to live, work and visit.

The Perry Public Library Board of Trustees consists of 5 residents of Perry who are appointed by the Mayor, approved by the City Council and serve 4 year terms. Perry Public Library Board Five Primary Roles: Advocate for the library in the community and advocate for the community as a member of the library board. To be a library advocate is to work for the betterment of library services for the community.

The Perry Planning and Zoning Commission is a seven member commission of individuals of the City of Perry that have knowledge or experience to act in matters pertaining to the development of a City plan and who don’t hold any elective office in the City government. The term for these individuals is a staggered four year term. The Perry Planning and Zoning Commission meet on an as needed basis only. Members are not compensated for their services. The members of the Planning and Zoning Commission elect a Chairperson and Vice Chairperson annually.
