Perry L. Johnson — Quality Authority Perry L. Johnson is the founder of Perry Johnson Registrars. He is one of the world's foremost authorities in quality, having written more than 15 manuals covering topics from Total Quality Management to Statistical Process Control and ISO/QS-9000. Johnson's first book on ISO 9000, ISO 9000: Meeting the International Standards, published by McGraw-Hill, has been a best-seller, and is now in its second edition.Johnson holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Illinois at Champagne-Urbana, and a master's degree in psychology from the University of Detroit. A Word About Conflict of Interest PJR takes great measure to ensure that no conflicts of interest occur. Perry L. Johnson, although a stockholder of PJR, is not involved in the day-to-day operations of Perry Johnson Registrars. Furthermore, in order to maintain our accreditation, PJR must comply with a number of documents, all of which contain clear conflict of interest clauses: EN 45012, General Criteria for Certification Bodies Operating Quality System Certification; ANSI-ASQ Criteria for Accreditation; ISO/IEC Guide 62, General Requirements for Bodies Operating Assessment and Certification/Registration of Quality Systems; and ISO 19011:2002, Guidelines for Quality and/or Environmental Management Systems Auditing. Failure to comply would result in the loss of our accreditation certificates. In addition, according to PJR by-laws, its employees, subcontractors and auditors cannot engage in any activities that may constitute or be reasonably perceived to constitute a conflict of interest with PJR’s registration services for any client.
