The LCU-3 is an inexpensive unit that interfaces your radio to your computer. Simply plug one end into your radio, and the other end into a serial or USB port on your computer. Tell LOGic which radio you have and which port you plugged it into. It will now automatically log band, mode, and frequency directly from your radio. With the touch of a key, it will set your radio to the frequency displayed on your log screen or LOGic's radio control database. You may also enter frequency and mode from the keyboard, or set your radio to the frequency specified by a packet cluster spot. These interfaces will work with TRX-Manager and any software that supports radio interfacing. Models are available for Kenwood, Icom, and Yaesu radios that require a level converter. These are replacements for Kenwood's IF-232C, Icom's CT-17, and Yaesu's FIF-232. Click here for information on selecting the proper interface or cable for your rig. These interfaces cost less and are more convenient to install than the units provided by the radio manufacturers. The LCU3 units are powered from the computer's port, so no battery or power cable is needed. The circuitry is built into the shell of a DB-9 connector. The cable is 6 feet long. Order an extension cable if you need more. To use the LCU-3 with a USB port, select the USB-RS232 adapter option. The LCU-3 works with LOGic and most other software. Blaster Adapter/CW keyer passthru (blasteradapter) Y cable permits use our LCU-3 level converter on the same serial port as a RigBlaster for DTR keying. May also be used to share a serial port with our LCU-3 and our RS-232 serial keyer.
