This door comes in versions to fit 3/16 inch thick single pane glass, and dual pane glass from 5/8 to 1 3/4 inch thick with a buildout. A buildout is a frame that goes between the pet door and the glass to make surface thick enough for the pet door to fit onto. The single pane version is only available with a single flap. The dual pane version can be had in single or double flap options. The double flap version of the Hale door is one of the most weather tight on the market. Both include a bridge piece or "compensation strips" as the manufacturer calls them for the bottom corner, which attaches the sliding door frame to the pet door frame. With double pane glass we need to know how thick the glass unit is so that the pet door can be modified to fit before we ship it. To determine the glass thickness, measure the thickness of the whole sliding door frame, then subtract the distance from the frame to the glass on each side.
