Description
Peter Vanags has been involved in software architecture, software engineering, human interface design and graphic design for over 22 years. He has designed a broad range of software applications and user interfaces, including multimedia CD-ROM and educational products, Asian-language translation software, wireless messaging tools, network management applications, interactive television, 3D modeling and imaging tools, and dynamic data-driven web sites and applications. His past consulting clients have included Apple Computer, Adobe Systems, AirTouch, The Smithsonian Institution, Symantec/Norton, Simon & Schuster, Paramount/Viacom, Northern Telecom, and Bank of America. He has most recently been working as a Senior Developer at PacketVideo Corporation. He has been a principal contributor on nearly a dozen successful product, mobile application, and SDK deployments to global wireless carriers, CE product manufacturers and consumers. Recent projects include the Twonky product line of multi-platform media sharing and streaming applications, and the DLNA applications on the VIZIO Co-Star GoogleTV appliance.
