Description

Madison, Alabama has been my home since 1983 along with my husband Mike. We are owned by three boxer dogs, two cats and a severe macaw parrot. Our lives have been surrounded by the love and devotion of pets during our entire marriage. After a rewarding career as a sales representative in the gift industry, I decided to follow my dream. I first developed a web site specializing in the boxer dog breed and then began researching pet sitting. My goal was to provide the very best concierge in home pet sitting service since boarding was an only option when caring for our terminally ill boxer. Petz Sitter is a member of Pet Sitters International (PSI), completing the Accreditation Program which is an in-depth educational coursework that has been tailored exclusively for pet sitters. The curriculum includes topics on pet care, health and nutrition. The coursework was developed with input from the most knowledgeable professionals in the pet-care industry to provide the best in pet education to members. Petz Sitter is also a member of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) where a certification was achieved to upgrade skills in animal behavior and health. To help further our education, Petz Sitter has completed the American Red Cross Pet First Aid course and Pet Tech Pet Saver training. Also a member of International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP). Our corporation is Maximus Dog Products, Incorporated, a web site boutique of dog products along with all kinds of dog lover gifts. I am a volunteer for Rockin P Rescue organization based in Jacksonville, AL, doing home visits for those people wishing to adopt within Madison County. To help educate the boxer breed, I have also created a web site called Boxer-Dog-Information for researching the breed before adopting or owning. In 2006, I organized Madison County Boxer Meetup Group, a boxer dog breed club with over 150 members that meets each month to socialize both the owners and the dogs.
