PharmaWrite ’s associates come from varied professional backgrounds, bringing with them a wealth of experience, applied knowledge, and creativity. They work together in a team-based environment to produce educational and promotional programs and materials without parallel. They represent the core of what PharmaWrite has to offer. Lou Greco came to PharmaWrite with a strong background in pharmaceutical science as well as management experience at both Rutgers University College of Pharmacy and in the retail pharmacy field. Lou ’s primary responsibilities at PharmaWrite include providing clients with strategic direction, advocacy development (eg, recruiting and building relationships with opinion leaders), and managing multiple teams of talented writers, researchers, project managers, editors, meeting planners, and artists in initiating and developing effective medical communications programs. These programs include satellite symposia at national meetings, product publication plans, speakers ’ training meetings, advisory board meetings, CME publications, and product monographs. In addition, Lou oversees PharmaWrite ’s extensive medical library, its information technology group, and its speakers bureau department. He also plays a key role in PharmaWrite ’s plan to expand to new therapeutic areas. Lou received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy in 1978 from Rutgers University ’s College of Pharmacy in Piscataway, New Jersey. He returned to the College of Pharmacy to earn his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2001. Prior to joining PharmaWrite, Lou was Director of the Office of Continuous Education at Rutgers, where he served as Adjunct Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration. He has also worked in the field as a Pharmacist-in-Charge and as a staff pharmacist at a number of pharmacies in New Jersey. His management skills have been refined over the years through his work on various academic committees at Rutgers University. Lou is certified in disease management in diabetes, asthma, and dyslipidemia. Lou is a member of the American Diabetes Association and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, He is married and has two children, and enjoys spending time with his family skiing, swimming, and going to the beach.
