Photograh by Karen Jache I live in Cold Spring New York and have a weekend cottage 9 miles away in Manitou. The cottage is on the Hudson River just north of the Bear Mountain Bridge. I have been married for 34 years to Karen Jache. I kayak on the Hudson River a lot, more than 100 days in 2009. My longest kayak trip in 2009 was 15 days and 200 miles down the Hudson from Fort Edwards to Manhattan. I have been on three trips down Colorado River through the Grand Canyon in a kayak, so far.
