In 2008 Charles Phillips joined Phillips Brothers to continue in the long-standing family business as the 5th generation Phillips to work at Phillips Bros. After receiving his J.D. from the Emory School of Law in Atlanta, GA. Charles practiced law for some time at a prestigious Chicago law firm. Charles has learned from his Grandfather Ed, and his father Kevin, the morals and values, which have enabled Phillips Bros. to succeed for over 135 years.

Phillips Bros. Insurance Agency, Inc. was founded in 1873 by Joseph Phillips, who was joined in 1890 by two of his sons, Sam and Abe. After the deaths of Joseph in 1900 and Sam in 1910, the agency continued to expand through the efforts of Abe and his brother Louis, who gave the agency its current name. Louis' expertise in administration and Abe's superior sales and marketing skills account for the phenomenon of Phillips Bros. Insurance Agency, Inc. today. Many of Abe's original accounts continue to be serviced by the agency.
