PHILLIPS Teaching Homes provides a specialized 27-hour PRIDE training (prior to placement of children and adolescents) which will prepare you to become more confident in your parenting skills with children that are in foster care and also children that are eligible for adoption. This training will cover all competencies needed to meet the needs of children and adolescents that have gone through traumatic experiences, special discipline, attachment difficulties and will provide with a detailed overview of the foster care system.

The schools serve only children with disabilities for which they are certified to provide services.

Individualized Special Education Our Maryland campus is located in Laurel in Howard County, close to all the surrounding county lines, as well as the District of Columbia and Baltimore. The school year runs from September-June, with a five week Extended School Year program for those approved. Our comprehensive, multidisciplinary team includes a wide variety of professionals providing many necessary services customized for the needs of each child.

Full Time salaried position with full range of benefits to provide quality training and consultation in home setting. Work with families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Developmental Disabilities, supporting and teaching within a family systems model. Knowledge of Autism/Aspergers, behavioral interventions and parent training needed.
