Phoenix Biotechnology is focusing its research efforts to develop products that conform with the new paradigm for the socially responsible approach to the treatment of cancer as described by the National Cancer Institute. The new paradigm seeks to develop therapeutic agents and treatment regimens that will enable physicians to eventually deal with cancer as a chronic condition rather than an acute condition and enable patients to live extended lives with a high or improved quality of life. The Company currently focuses its product pipeline on botanical extracts that are being developed with the Pharmaceutical Development Center at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. The nature of these products and processes is governed by confidentiality obligations such as those found in the Sponsored Research Agreement. More Phoenix Biotechnology, Incorporated, a privately held corporation, was incorporated in the State of Texas in March 2003. The company was created through the acquisition of the assets of Anvirlat, Incorporated, a privately held Nevada corporation controlled by Messrs. Addington and Kost, current officers and directors of the company. Phoenix Biotechnology Incorporated has elected to continue with the Sponsored Research Agreement between the Pharmaceutical Development Center at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center that was previously established by Anvirlat.
