Description

Pinball Publishing was founded in 2002 by Austin Whipple and Laura Brian. Fueled by the desire to produce our own publications, we decided to invest our time and resources into the printing equipment needed to create our projects. Initially armed with a Vandercook proof press and a hand operated Challenge paper cutter, we fortunately happened upon a spacious storefront on SE Clinton street in Portland, Oregon. What began as a creative experiment, now had a public persona, and the business of Pinball Publishing was born. The delicate balance between commercial and creative was set, and our business began to grow. New equipment was purchased, new client friendships were forged, and the Pinball team soon outgrew our happy home on Clinton and 26th.In summer of 2004, Pinball Publishing began to renovate its new headquarters on SE 10th and Grant. The building was refitted with garage doors, separate office interiors, and a larger printing work space. The exterior was splashed with yellow paint and bold type, and our official move took place in the last days of August. The new location has proven to be a wonderful work space, and a welcoming destination for discerning print customers. We are currently expanding our team of talented staff, and broadening our horizons in the printing and publishing arenas.Pinball Publishing is poised to embark on several new projects that take advantage of our production capabilities, design interests, and our desire to be publisher of content-driven material as well as a creative printing resource. Stay tuned for our latest literary releases, the launch of our artisan paper goods line and the development of new tools to manage your printing needs. We hope to talk with you soon!
