Description

Our philosophy is to put the client first. We believe the only business worth owning is one that treats every client the way we want to be treated. We provide service that clearly adds value to our clients’ lives.

Richard Seeley graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1984 with a degree in engineering and served over 5 years in the United States Air Force during which time he received an MBA. Richard has been in the insurance and financial services field for over 15 years having spent time at Prudential Insurance and independent advisory firms. He enjoys being outdoors with his children, coaching little league and is interested in science and cosmology. Having grown up in New Jersey, he is torn between rooting for New York and Boston sports teams.

Checks and Balances – For over 25 years we have used independent outside custodians to hold our clients’ assets. These custodians independently send confirmations after every trade and provide monthly statements that can be compared with our quarterly reports to verify the holdings are the same. We felt this was important when we started the business and now, unfortunately, there are real life examples to show why.

To assist us with this research and financial planning in general, we have hired John Goddard in the Cambridge office. John graduated from Bentley with a degree in economics and finance, and has nine years of experience in the financial services industry. He is a Certified Financial Planner and we are quite happy to have him on board. If you have not had a chance to talk to John, please give him a call and say hello. As you come in for your reviews we will be introducing him to you.

We are financial planners and investment managers. For over twenty five years Pinney & Scofield has worked with individuals and families to help them plan their future and achieve their most important financial goals. People often look for financial planning due to a specific event or problem – college planning, a home purchase, or retirement planning for example. They will stay with an advisor for the long-term only if they receive consistent, thoughtful and conflict-free advice.
