A native of Kansas, Andy moved to the great state of Minnesota when he was 15. After beginning his professional career as a cook, he soon found his calling as a plumber. Prior to partnering with Brian to form The Plumbing Guys, Andy worked as a service plumber in the Twin Cities for 14 years. In his many years of experience, Andy has mastered the art of solving problems and having fun while doing it. That quality shows through in Andy's work as he takes great pride in providing friendly, quality service at a reasonable price. Andy's biggest accomplishment wasn't pulling a six-foot root out of a customer's sewer, but being a single father. When he's not working at plumbing Andy is usually working a fishing hole, shooting pool or enjoying his family.

Drains are probably one of the most ignored and taken for granted features in our home, until they don't work. Clogged drains can be a simple an annoyance or a downright disaster when everything floods out onto the floor. Even when the problem seems simple it can be complex. Installing a new bathtub drain or even just sealing a bathtub drain can be a nightmare if you don't know how or don't have the right tools. The drain is one of the most important features of your home. Without drains your showers, your bathtubs, your toilets, and your sinks are useless ornaments. Not only that, drains are designed to be a line of defense against disease. Consider this: Your home's drain is the first step to your community's sewer/septic system. The wastewater in your home carries filth and bacteria down its respective drain where all the working parts keep that wastewater from reentering your home. Should you have clogged drains you're stuck with that waste. Worse yet, if you have a leaking PVC pea trap connection, you could even be inviting foul-smelling sewer gases back into your home.

Faucet repair, removal, and/or installation can be time-consuming, dirty, and a rather thankless task particularly when things don't go as planned. Whether you're removing shower faucets, are facing a Kohler k12172, Moen, Delta or some other brand of faucet repair, or you're simply trying to figure out how to stop that annoying drip drip drip, fixing a faucet can be an intimidating task. If you're thinking about fixing your faucet, make sure that you know what type of faucet repair you'll be engaged in. Just knowing the manufacturer, whether it's single or dual handle, or whether it's a kitchen, lavatory, or bath faucet isn't enough information. It's also good to know whether you're planning on working on a rotating cylinder, disc, ball, compression, cartridge, or valve faucet, or something else entirely. Disc faucet repair may require a different set of tools than fixing a sill cock faucet, just as bathroom faucets are different from laundry room faucets. Just knowing the manufacturer may not give you enough information.
