CARR Separations was founded in 1993 by Robert “Bret” Carr and his father Bob Carr in Medfield, MA. They introduced the Powerfuge Separation System, the first high speed (up to 20,000 x g), solid bowl centrifuge with automatic solids discharge and True-clean® CIP capabilities. Through the 1990’s CARR Separation established itself as an industry innovator and a world class supplier of liquid-solid separation to the Life Sciences and Specialty Chemical markets. After a period of explosive growth CARR Separations was acquired by Kendro Laboratories Products LLC, Newtown, CT in 2000.
To meet our customers demand for even more in-depth training, our seamer university is proud to provide Advanced Seamer Training Classes. Each class is devoted to a specific model machine, and during the comprehensive 5 day sessions, students completely disassemble Angelus and Continental Seamers, rebuild them and re-install all sub-assemblies. Classroom topics include preparation and review of the overhaul, evaluation of used parts, modifications to update machines, and review of equipment audit sheets.
Since 1968, PneumaticScaleAngelus has been proud to operate a Seamer Training School to help customers achieve the best performance and longest life from our equipment. These one-week classes provide hands-on instruction and are taught at our Akron, Ohio facility by PMMI Certified Instructors. Our faculty has over 100 years experience combined working with can seamers. Our goal is to provide the best education possible and develop a long term rapport with our students that enhance our working relationship.
Angelus Sanitary Can Machine Company was founded in Los Angeles, California in 1910 by inventor Henry L. Guenther. Guenther designed and patented machinery for producing double seams on cans. He has a vision for a company that would produce the finest machines of its kind, anywhere in the world.
A self-taught machinist and tireless entrepreneur, Lawernce Zepf launched Bottler's Engineering and Design Ltd. in a make-shift machine shop attached to the Zepf family home in Waterloo, Ontario, in 1972. Commitment, calculated risks and a mastery of innovative production and processes would inspire the transformation of this small, family-owned machine shop into a technological competitor in the international packaging industry.
