Dear Friends, On behalf of the faculty, staff and Board of Directors of the Portland OIC, I would like to thank you personally for your continued support of our organization and to the youth we serve. After much deliberation and a unanimous vote by the Board of Directors, we have decided to forgo the 2010 Links for Youth Golf Tournament. I felt, and the Board agreed, that rather than invest a percentage of the ticket prices and donations to the event overhead (approximately $10,000) we will remit 100% of all gifts to the enhancement of program initiatives. We are fully aware of the impact that the current economic downturn is having on organizations and individuals alike, and felt that this was the most effective use of our resources. Links for Youth has always provided a great venue for bringing friends and community partners together in support of our vitally important Summer and Employment Training Programs. Please consider making a cash donation to this fundraising initiative, our goal is to raise $20,000 and we are relying on you to donate to this worthwhile cause.
