Agency Background In 1924, Pointer Insurance Agency began as Dave Pointer, Agent in Como, MS. Monroe Pointer, son of David Pointer, joined his father in 1963 as a partner and continues today as President of Pointer Insurance Agency, Incorporated After 1972, the agency expanded the Como office to the towns of Sledge, MS, Crenshaw, MS, Senatobia, MS and finally to Southaven, MS in 1982. Today the agency operates from the Southaven and Como Mississippi locations after consolidating the branch offices. The Southaven office has grown along with the phenomenal growth of DeSoto County and now operates as the corporate headquarters.
