PolyVue ® announces the addition of a -1.50 cylinder power to the HDX Toric Progressive (August, 2006) PolyVue ® Distribution, Incorporated announces the addition of a -1.50 cylinder power to the HDX Toric Progressive, the industry's first fully-molded, planned replacement toric progressive contact lens. With the addition of the -1.50 cylinder power, now the HDX Toric Progressive can be fitted on patients up to -2.25 cylinder requirement, thanks to the aberration-reducing High Definition optics. The company plans to start shipment of the -1.50 cylinder power early September. The HDX Toric Progressive marries the proven performance and comfort of the HDX Progressive with a toric back surface, stabilized with a prism ballast to provide consistent vision at all distances.
