Founded in 1993, Blakely Pacific, Ltd., is the first international subsidiary of Port Blakely Companies. We own and manage forestland in the South and North Islands of New Zealand. Our forest products, primarily radiata pine and Douglas-fir, are sold domestically in New Zealand and in log markets throughout Asia and the Middle East. Blakely Pacific believes in sustainability. We grow more wood than we harvest, and every harvested area is quickly replanted.

Jeff served on Port Blakely’s board of directors from 2006 through mid-2013, when he resigned to take an operational role in the company as CFO. He currently serves on the board of directors of Penford Corporation, a publically-traded company with headquarters in Denver, Colorado that manufactures modified starches derived from corn and potatoes. Jeff also serves on the board of The Nature Conservancy.

We have a moral obligation to care for the environment. This principle has guided our parent company for more than a century, and runs throughout all facets of our business at Blakely Pacific, Ltd.

Our core purpose is to provide incentive for future generations to grow trees. At PLS we create and provide access to domestic and overseas log and lumber markets through bulk and container shipping. Our target customers value high quality trees that have been sustainably grown using sound forest practices. We use our international marketing expertise to reward our suppliers for growing quality products.

With the support of Port Blakely Tree Farms and our other valued suppliers, we will continue creating value for our customers with long-term relationships both close to home and in international markets.
