Fall Frolics has been a beloved Potomac tradition for over 30 years. Hundreds of volunteers are needed each October for this week of festivities which includes a Student Raffle, Market Place, Nearly New, and Family Carnival. This great event supports student scholarships and faculty professional development.

For over 100 years, Potomac students have explored the worlds of music, visual and performing arts, developing their skills and confidence, and deepening their habits of artistic expression. Our faculty lead by example, as mentors and fellow explorers. Within an organized and stimulating environment, teachers help stir dialogue between students and raw materials, between students and musical instruments, between students and their own inner cast of characters.

Proper conditioning is important for all of our athletes. At Potomac we provide athletes with the opportunity to train for their sport in the off-season. The weight room is available throughout the year for off-season conditioning. It is necessary to train to be in top condition for the pre-season period and to help prevent injuries that may occur due to soreness in the beginning of a season. Athletes are encouraged to train in the weight room so that they are in good condition for their season.

Through the 17 committees that make up the Parent Association, we provide many opportunities to become involved in the life of the School. Fall Frolics, the Scholarship Auction, Class Representatives, and the Parent Diversity Committee are just a few of the key events and programs that rely on the creativity and energy of parent volunteers.

The purpose of the Senior Athletic Committee is to provide leadership and service to the student body and community at large by promoting spirit, sportsmanship and dedication to Potomac Athletics and beyond. This committee was established to promote school spirit and provide leadership on athletic issues on and off the field. We expect the members of SAC to be role models for other students and to adhere to and support the school’s policies. SAC is designed to be a service-oriented group striving toward athletic excellence.
