Ronald Powell started Powell Seeds in 1961 at the exact same location that operations are conducted at today. After starting with a simple bagging system and public varieties, the seed industry has undergone immense changes. His son, Rex Powell, joined the business after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Agricultural Economics. Grandson Roger Powell came on board the operation full time in 2001, bringing yet a third generation of commitment to Powell Seeds customers.
