Precision Pipe Coatings was created out of necessity, due to the inherent corrosion problems facing oil and gas industry. Through our clients, we identified a need for our company to develop a system that would protect the face and threads of tubing as well as the ID from the corrosive elements of CO2, H2S and Chlorides. Using existing coating practices that have been tried and tested at our small parts facility, we were able to integrate a thick mil fusion bonded epoxy used on the ID of the pipe, with a thin mil PTFE coating that covers the threads. This combination creates a barrier of unparalleled corrosion protection throughout a tubing string. Some of the major benefits of our coating systems are: The long term benefits of this coating system, will be the increased productivity of the tubing strings because failure in the make up area is considerably reduced. This ultimately will lead to considerable long term savings and extended service periods.
