Realizing that her work in the disability service arena could benefit families facing similar challenging issues, she founded Preferred Living Solutions. Her goal is to provide a service that focuses on putting control back in the hands of individuals and their families with the aim of securing the greatest quality of life possible for seniors and people with disabilities. A Wake Forest Native, Melanie has a B.S. in Social Work and over 20 years of experience in the human service field. Before starting Preferred Living Solutions in 2009, Melanie was the Executive Director of a local non–profit that provides rehabilitation and support services to people with disabilities. An active member of her community, Melanie serves on the Board of Directors as Vice President for First in Families of North Carolina–a non–profit organization that helps people with developmental disabilities and their families create the lives they want now and in the future. Angela Woodard, Care Manager Angela@PreferredLivingSolutions.com Angela has a tremendous amount of experience in the Human Services arena, making her an indispensable resource to seniors and people with disabilities who need help living the lives they want. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. Previously, Angela worked as a Case Manager for a non–profit organization for adults.
