Premier Gundogs Training Kennel

For those customers who want to participate in hunt test events, Premier Gundogs offers hunt test training for several venues. We have been successful in training dogs from many different breeds to the top titles in their respective associations, such as, AKC, HRC, NAHRA hunt tests. Our goal at Premier Gundogs is to see our customers and their dogs successfully working together as a team, either in the field hunting or competing in competitions of their choice. If our customers are successful then we have been successful.

Kris grew up training and showing both pleasure and performance horses. She quickly was exposed to the hunting dog world when she met Dale in 1984. At first Kris was an assistant trainer, throwing marks for the retrievers and planting birds for the pointing dogs in for training, feeding & helping with shots, etc. & whelping out the litters. As the part time kennel grew thru the 90's to more full time, Kris took a very active role in training and her gentle handed training techniques quickly developed due to her extensive background with livestock.

Dale Taylor started working with dogs along side his Grandfather, an avid Springer Spaniel man, at the age of ten. His first hunting dog was a little Springer Spaniel pup named "Sue" that his Grandfather bought for him in 1972. Dale recalls his Grandfather bringing pigeons out to the farm to develop a shortcuts in the teaching stages of training that will allow you to shorten or more quickly advance to the foundation was everything.
