Simply put, concrete walls are formed with lightweight polystyrene expanded or extruded foam. Foam panels and rails are connected with cross ties which are stacked to form parallel walls. With rebar located inside, concrete is then poured into the cavity. The foam remains in place to provide insulation on both sides. This combination of concrete and foam insulation creates a Premere ICF structure with increased energy efficiency, comfort, strength and overall durability.
