Prince and Sons, Inc­­. has been a family owned and operated company since it was founded in 1989 by its President and University of North Carolina Alumnus, Ben Prince. Traditionally, Ben provided home improvement and maintenance-oriented services to home owners and property management companies throughout the Durham/ Chapel Hill area.

Ben's original motive for starting the company was for additional means to support his daughter and twin sons, as his primary commitment was serving the people of Durham as a Law Enforcement Officer. The demands for his expertise as a carpenter and father increased, which resulted in his resignation as a police officer and allowed him to pursue his dream of expanding the company. Prince & Sons, Inc. continued to provide maintenance services for the community throughout the 90s and 2000s, while also providing job opportunities for fellow tradesmen.
