HARLEY SMITH was born and raised in Humboldt County and has spent all of his adult life working in the housing industry. Prior to obtaining his Real Estate Salesperson license in 1980, he worked in the construction industry for four years. After working for three years as a property manager, he obtained his Brokers license and started Professional Property Management Company in 1983. As a result of focusing on only property management and leasing, the business has grown to over 800 units under management.Harley is a member of the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Harley has a lifetime teaching credential in Real Estate. He has taught the Property Management course at College of the Redwoods for over ten years. He has also taught Real Estate Investment Analysis and Escrow courses. He has earned his Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation and has served on numerous committees with the Humboldt Association of Realtors.Harley has been a member of the Rotary Club of Eureka for over fifteen years. He has served on community task forces and other civic organizations.
