Of all the things we do, this sets us apart from all of our competitors. Much of our life has been spent "in the trenches" developing solutions for problems either caused by or not addressed by the manufacturers of standard material handling and packaging machinery. Take for example, our line of high speed carton infeeds. You can get cartoning machines from any one of several suppliers, but try getting them to build a 'one up' high speed loader to put the product into the cartons as they are made. Or consider the design of our high speed, dual head pick and place for frozen ice cream cups. You can purchase the filler equipment 'off the shelf' but getting someone to handle the filled cups at high speed is hard to do but Progressive Handling has done it. The diverse staff of engineering talent we have access to allows us to offer solutions for the manufacturing, printing, finishing, assembly, packaging and shipping for such a wide range of products that make us hard to beat!.

How we engineer our systems really sets us apart from our competitors. Due to a number of reasons, our marketplace has changed drastically over the past 20 years. Many of the large equipment manufacturers and suppliers are no longer in business. Training schools, once so critical in the process of bringing in the next generation of engineers and sales concept engineers, are no more. Hands-on experience in more than one type of equipment disciplines is very rare. As a result, finding well balanced concept engineers who look at the problem without focusing on a certain single equipment solution, are hard to find. Our senior engineering staff uses what they learned in schools from "Litton", J.B. Webb, Rapistan and others to train our engineering staff how to apply this discipline.
