Project Bandaloop

Description

Since 1991, as a pioneer in the field, Project Bandaloop has been making dynamic dances that reframe how people perceive their environment and the art form. Project Bandaloop performs in natural and urban settings to large and diverse audiences both nationally and internationally. We perform in theaters, dance on buildings, towers, bridges and skyscrapers, and create site-specific work in the mountains. Up Next Book Us Donate Sign Up Sept. 27th, 2010 We are in final rehearsals for IdEgo’s first movement here at Segerstrom Hall. The center commissioned the new work along with funding from the NEA, the San Francisco Foundation and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. Composer Dana Leong, set designer Todd Laby and lighting designer Jack Carpenter are all on site and the excitement is palpable. Thomas Cavanagh is holding it all together technically and getting Austin Forbord’s projections just right as Hans Florine speeds around the roof adjusting anchors.
