Description

A ProLogic client in the Oil & Gas industry was looking to bring more analysis and reporting capability to its end users than was being provided by its financial accounting system. ProLogic helped the client design a data warehouse model and ETL process to import data from its financial and operations systems. A Windows service automates the imports and transforms data from Oracle and SQL Server databases and rebuilds the SSAS cubes. The solution utilizes the Microsoft Business Intelligence suite. End users can analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by different measures including line of business, subsidiary, company, rig, time period, and other operational and financial factors. Reports can be saved and recalled at a future time and exported to Excel
