[This profile first appeared on Payment Week.] YapStone, founded in 1999, is an online payment processor aiming to kill the paper check. They target different verticals in the rental industry, including housing, vacation rentals, and more.
Success in providing electronic payment acceptance to renters is absolutely dependent on the marketing at the property level to renters. 10 years of experience in understanding what works best in maximizing adoption makes RentPayment uniquely qualified over other processors that simply “enable acceptance” but do not go the “last mile” of increasing payment volume with every property.
Bill Evick is the Senior Vice President of Sales for RentPayment. Bill has an extensive sales and marketing background with over 17 years in software sales. For the past 13 years, Bill has been focused primarily in the property management industry; working with the largest property management companies in the U.S. Earlier in his career, Bill worked for Yardi Systems, Inc and Intuit Real Estate Solutions (MRI) selling web-based property management and accounting software to the top 100 companies in the industry.
Founded in 1999, RentPayment is the largest electronic payments processor in the multifamily industry. Through the vision of founders Tom Villante, Chairman of RentPayment, and Matt Golis, CEO, RentPayment was born. The idea was to create a payment processing company that for the first time would allow property managers to accept credit cards and e-Checks for rent payments and move-in expenses, making it easier for properties to close leases and collect rent on-time. In 2005, RentPayment acquired eRentPayer, an electronic rent payment company based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
