Providence Energy Corporation (PEC) is a privately owned company based in Dallas, Texas that has compiled a large and diverse portfolio of mineral rights across the country. Since 1993, Providence has been an active acquirer of oil & gas properties and currently owns and or manages over 2 million net mineral acres in 34 states with royalty or working interests in over 10,000 wells. Providence has developed a strong presence in the majority of the unconventional resource plays and was one of the first on the ground in the Marcellus Shale, amassing over 400,000 net mineral acres in the Appalachian Basin. The company’s mineral rights are managed by the subsidiaries Providence Minerals LLC, PEC Minerals LP, and Somerset Minerals LP, each of which is readily pursuing partnership or leasing opportunities with exploration and production companies. Along with targeting additional strategic oil & gas properties, Providence is also currently exploring opportunities in the alternative energy market.
