Medication administration is one of the most important and complex systems in hospitals. Pullman Regional takes medication safety very seriously and is dedicated to utilizing technology to reduce human error. Automated medication dispensing machines reduce the opportunity of choosing the wrong medication. Bar-code scanning is used to assure the right medication and dosage are administered to the right patient at the right time. This technology uses other important information in the electronic medical record to prevent medication errors from occurring.

Formerly Pullman Memorial Hospital, Pullman Regional Hospital is a full-service medical center that offers a range of advanced medical services to the Palouse region. The 95,000 square-foot facility features a state-of-the-art surgery center, fully digital imaging department, increased patient bed spaces including private birthing suites, a helipad, and wireless patient information. Pullman Regional Hospital is a Level IV State Designated Trauma Center and provides 24-hour Emergency Medicine care by board certified emergency medicine physicians.

Adams, who has been the CEO of the award-winning critical access hospital in Pullman for more than 20 years, also was recently recertified as a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

At Pullman Regional Hospital, we provide access to multiple specialty clinics onsite that patients would normally have to travel to Spokane or Lewiston to receive services.

We apply the Institute of Medicine's patient safety recommendations, the National Patient Safety Goals, our Philosophy of Care, technological advances, and current "best practices" to improve our patient care processes.
