Purple Wave began as a traditional consignment auction company in Manhattan, Kansas. Aaron and Suzy McKee founded and built the business with hard work, integrity, and creativity; values learned growing up on rural Kansas farms. These core values have not changed much since Aaron held his first public auction in September 2000. For approaching ten years, Purple Wave has grown in its annual sales and its reputation by Purple Wave is the largest Internet only, absolute auction firm in the Midwest. As of 2009, the Purple Wave team consists of over 40 employees who assist over 1,000 consignors liquidate tens of millions of dollars of construction equipment, agricultural equipment and vehicles to our buyer base of over 50,000 registered customers.
