Pyramid.Net does not provide or cover the costs incurred for the initial phone line from ATT. We do however cover the line sharing fee for it's use on our DSL network and provide our portion of the installation free of charge. We also provide installation and a modem free of charge. Replacement of these modems outside the 90 day warranty will be subject to a $20 fee added to your bill. All other network hardware such as firewalls, routers, etc. are provided by the customer. The Pyramid.Net staff can often be of assistance in setting up some of this extra equipment but we assume neither responsibility for nor obligation to provide such services. DSL line speeds are not guaranteed, they are best effort and subject to your distance from the TELCO switch. Note: All Pyramid.Net ADSL/SDSL accounts are business level circuits with Static IP's. We believe this is the best way to go with DSL services as it gives your computer or router the same Internet address for the duration of your subscription with us. This allows for better troubleshooting if there is a problem and it affords better features for our clients. Unlike PPPoE and Dynamic IP networks, there is no initial connection delay or irritating IP lease renewal disconnects which can be the bane of online gamers. We also do not believe in dropping a connection to idle in order to free up bandwidth or make room for new logins - such practices are unnecessary with Pyramid.Net. Another advantage is for users that run server applications that require a static IP to connect to. (examples are game voice servers, VOIP servers, and remote access software)
