Qualitor, Inc., Thayer Capital Partners' portfolio company since Dec 21, 2004, is a supplier of automotive and heavy duty replacement parts. The company's wiper products, brake kits and heavy duty businesses are Tier I suppliers, whereas its engine controls and brake parts businesses are Tier II. Based in Southfield, MI, with seven manufacturing facilities located in four states, the Company was created in April 1999 in conjunction with the purchase of five divisions of MascoTech's automotive aftermarket business. Subsequently, in July 1999, in order to expand its product offering and customer base in aftermarket brake components, the Company acquired Anstro, a leading supplier of aftermarket brake parts.
