We recommend our customers to use mild soap and water and that is pretty much what would keep granite countertops clean. Sealer on granite countertops should be applied once a year if you are not sure what kind of sealer is used, but the sealer that we use will require re-applying every 10 to 15 years. This type of sealer is applied before or after countertops installation and it is at no extra cost to our customers. Lot of people are concerned about bacteria in their granite countertops, and they should be, because bacteria can be found on all countertops including granite. If you are concerned about bacteria in your granite countertops, you should use anti-bacterial soap and clean off your countertops.
