REO Engineering, P.C., a Kansas City metropolitan company, offices in the suburban community of Harrisonville, Missouri. The company was formed in 1979 by Roy E Obermiller, P.E., originally in Paola, Kansas. The company moved to Harrisonville in 1984. From 1984 to 1993 it specialized in city engineering, acting as City Engineer, Codes Administrator, or Building Official for 10 different Missouri and Kansas cities. In 1993, the company spun off its geotechnical and inspection service to a separate company, Obermiller Construction Services, Inc. The two companies are 100% family owned and office in the same family owned location. The combined personnel typically number about 24. While still maintaining working relationships with cities, REO added focus in other areas. REO/OCS do a significant amount of design-build work for both local and national clientele. REO specializes in areas such as flood zone analysis, forensic investigation of contract failures, codes analysis for accident scenes, structural analysis for new construction and structural failures, wetlands construction, environmental assessments and industrial site selection.

We provide full service project management for all projects we design, as well as some projects designed by others. We enjoy working on challenging projects, and specialize in providing creative, affordable solutions.
