Company History RE Systems Group, Inc. (RSG) was formed in 1984 to provide the reinsurance and insurance industries with a new generation of low cost, flexible and state-of-the-art software packages. Market analysis at the time showed that all of the available packaged software was based on high cost, inflexible and dated programming languages which required very expensive computers.RSG's business plan in 1984 for the development of its first product (The RSG Treaty Reinsurance System) contained the following criteria:The system must be extremely easy to operate from a user viewpoint as well as from an operational perspective. For smaller companies, it should be able to operate without any in-house data processing personnel. For medium and large companies the data processing staff size should range from 1 to 4.
