RJ Smith Companies was founded in 1995 in Richmond, Virginia. Early on, we recognized the importance of being both proactive and visionary in adding services to support our clients' needs --services that went well beyond Site Development. Today, we offer in-house services ranging from site development to utilities to general contracting. We've recently introduced a new business service -- landfill development, including cell construction and capping. Geographically, as our clients have grown, we've expanded throughout the State of Virginia, and across the entire Mid-Eastern U.S. All of this has allowed us to provide project management through a variety of construction stages in projects ranging from single family residential developments, to shopping malls, to "big box" retail stores, to heavy highway construction. In effect, we have gone way beyond construction to become our clients' partners and consultants.
