ROUNDBANK

Description

The Peoples Bank was organized in 1881 by individuals who had been involved with the founding of Waseca in 1867. In 1907, a new bank was constructed and the name was changed to Farmers National Bank.This is the bank that today is known as Roundbank, named after the unique architectural design of the building it moved into in 1971.In 1931, the bank, then known as Farmers National Bank, was purchased by First Bank Stock Corp., which became First Bank System, now U.S. Bancorp. Then in 1987, First Bank System sold the Waseca bank, along with several other banks in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota to the management and directors of the bank.
