Richard & Rice Construction Company Inc. is celebrating 10 years in business. 2004 marked the begining our our journey to build the best shell contracting company in the state of Florida. With commitment and passion, our business was built one customer at time, we are only as good as the last house that we built, and upon that we have forged a reputation of quality, safety at a fair price. As his company's co-founder and co-president, Gaetan Richard coordinates all field operations with Richard and Rice's project managers. He says he demands the most of the company's field personnel because he wants to know that he can count on everyone to do their jobs independently and unsupervised. When individuals step up and prove themselves in this way, he is happy to move them into management jobs. All of the company's current managers were working as supervisors at one time under the management of Murray Rice and Gaetan Richard. Gaetan has been a force to be reckoned with in Florida's construction industry since 1972 when he began as a laborer in the thriving construction business. Quickly realizing what a tremendous opportunity this offered him, he embarked on a career that would take him through all phases of the construction industry. From 1974 to 1979, running his own sub crews, he performed all phases of tie beam work and rough carpentry from Miami to Delray Beach. With this experience, in 1980 he started GFR Construction, Inc. performing all phases of shell construction in Broward and Palm Beach Counties, with sales of $2.5 million per year.

The owners of R&R have made it their business to surround themselves with the best talent that the industry has to offer. Despite the serious downturn in the residential construction industry, R&R has worked diligently to increase its market share and now stands as one of the largest, best managed and well positioned shell contractors in Florida. As recovery returns to Florida, R&R leads the way with expert management and seasoned, experienced field supervision. Gaetan Richard and Murray Rice have nearly 40 years of combined leadership experience, running some of the most successful "General Contracting" Companies in Florida. Their time at the helm has earned them respect from customers as well as loyal employees, and associates. With the experience gained throughout the years, R&R plans to continue to expand into all remaining markets in the state, while increasing and strengthening their customer relationships.
