I specialize exclusively in the area of energy conservation. Since starting my practice I have conducted energy audits in 145 buildings totaling over 8,200,000 square feet; from a 7,500 square foot testing center to a 1,800,000 square foot college campus. During the audit process the building, and all of its energy using systems, are essentially taken apart on paper and put back together using a variety of more energy efficient economically viable replacements in order to determine which combination reduces the building's energy cost in the most cost effective manner. These audits have led to the installation of over $5,000,000 of energy conservation improvements with an average simple payback of less than 3 years. Most of my clients haven't had personnel with the time or experience to manage construction projects, therefore, I have provided this service in addition to design engineering for electrical, mechanical, and building envelope improvements. Since I am a solo practitioner, my clients are assured that every aspect of their project is getting the benefit of my 39 years of experience.
