Since Mid April '09, when the Finnish American newspaper, RAIVAAJA, suspended print publication , the Board of Directors has been planning to bring your paper back. After several shareholder and Board meetings to determine our future course we have begun a new direction with a modest Internet based offering. Our first is a most requested feature of the print paper: RAIVAAJA Kalenteri (Calendar) which may be accessed through the link on the right. More is coming. It has always been the intention of the Board of Directors to reorganize RAIVAAJA after clearing all of the debts that have forced suspension of the print version. That process and the move from our former offices is now complete and it's time to move to the next phase of the reinvented RAIVAAJA as a nonprofit company. The Board has met regularly and determined a best future course based on both membership wishes and financial realities. We request your patience, support, and understanding while we work through this change of your weekly paper serving the Finnish-American community.
