Please come and get involved! Transitional Food and Shelter, Incorporated provides safe housing for the homeless who are medically fragile. A potential client must be screened by a referring agency such as the Department of Social Services (DSS), Community Action Partnership formally known as the Economic Opportunity Commission, Salvation Army, Mental Health, Loaves and Fishes (L&F), and others. This is our Motel Voucher Program where a person or family is placed for a day or more in an individual shelter while the referring agency arranges for housing and/or other needs. In addition, TFS sponsors PEOPLE'S KITCHEN, served by volunteer churches and civic community organizations. The meal is free to low income families and people who find themselves homeless. It is served between 5:00 and 6:00 PM at the Second Baptist Church, 1945 Riverside Ave., Paso Robles, Monday through Friday. The People's Kitchen is now in its sixth year serving an evening meal Monday through Friday at 5 p.m.
