For over 30 years Rantec has been a leader in providing quality polymers and chemicals for drilling and biopolymer trenching projects around the world. We are able to provide timely international shipping for our customers.

Rantec maintains a product development facility where we assist customers with development of specialty uses of guar gum. Our 30 plus years of extensive experience in a wide range of gum and polymer uses aid in the growth of new ideas. Rantec has assisted numerous customers in polymer choice, application, handling and mixing, custom packaging, and product development.

Lloyd was the Manager at Rantec from 2004 trhough 2012 and has since semi-reitred to part time. Lloyd was educated at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology receiving a degree in mechanical engineering. He worked as a design engineer and pit foreman at several mining operations prior to working at Rantec. At Rantec he has worked in production, quality control, plant design and sales before becoming the general manager.

G150 is Rantec’s guar gum-based natural polymer (galacto-mannan) for biopolymer liquid shoring fluids (BLSF) and drilling muds. Molecular weight is in the range of 1.5 to 2.0 million. G150 BLSF has been used extensively for geotechnical stabilization of extraction trenches during excavation and construction and well bores during drilling. G150 is biodegradable and can be broken down completely thus maintaining the permeability of those soils and producing formations. Rantec has more than 16 years of experience in supplying G150 for use in liquid shoring and drilling applications.

Susan has been a Rantec employee since 1989. Her more that 20 years of experience in the industry are invaluable to Rantec’s quality control and product development laboratory. Susan enjoys winter time activities including snowmobiling. Summer time finds her enjoying the Big Horn Mountains.
