General information on the game - At Realms Of Ruin, paintball games are played in 10-20 minute segments on a field with a boundary designated by a marked tapeline. For walk on games, two 20 minute games are played with objectives such as "capture the flag". capture the "center flag", general "elimination" and "attack & defend" are played. All players are divided up into two even teams according to numbers and ability. The object of any game is to complete the objective and mark players on the opposite team out by hitting them with paintballs. In order to mark a player with a paintball, the ball must be projected using the paintball gun and must break leaving a dime size or larger spot of paint on the player. Each team has the time limit in order to complete their objective and must work within the visible boundary of the playing field. Safe and fair rules / guidelines are established in a safety briefing prior to playing paintball. All players are required to wear eye and face protection at all times while out on the playing field or in the target range. Such equipment must comply with ASTM standards.
