These guys sort of have that early 80's ROUGH TRADE sound with similarties to TELEVISION PERSONALITIES, THE BUZZCOCKS (really just the vocals), MODERN LOVERS, PASTELS not to mention THE PONYS. If you're into any of those bands you really have to hear this & if you're not you should check this out cuz it's from Chicago ok??? Ok.Ben Chasny's SIX ORGANS OF ADMITTANCE returns with a strong shot of rambling psychedelic folk...following up quickly from the astounding "School Of The Flower" "Sun Awakens" is a sprawling dimension of sound combining Chasny's inspired guitar playing with frantic drumming and ethereal/cosmic sounds, while possessing a heavy psychedelic sound thanks in part to the engineering prowess of TIM GREEN. Once again another notch in Chasny's belt. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
