The company was founded in 1994 by current president and principal owner Stan Redford.

After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Mr. Young attended the University of Central Missouri and graduated with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Safety Management. He also was certified as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) in 1989. Prior to joining Redford Construction in 2008, Mr. Young had 34 years of experience in risk control management, consultation, and jobsite safety management.

Prior to joining Redford Construction in 2001, Mr. Hudgens accumulated 28 years of estimating and project management experience in the heavy construction industry. He began his career as a general laborer, advanced to foreman, eventually became an estimator and then project manager for TJ Hudgens Construction (family owned business). He has managed projects ranging from $1 million to $6 million that included various pipe sizes from 8-inch diameter to 102-inch diameter and encompassed water transmission mains, sanitary sewer interceptors, and storm drainage improvements.
