Hugo Reed and Associates was founded in 1948 as a land surveying firm, and since then has operated continuously in the Lubbock region. The firm evolved in 1978 to incorporate civil engineering services.

Mr. Gradel is President and CEO of Hugo Reed and Associates. He is licensed as both a professional engineer and land surveyor, and has accumulated over thirty years of experience in both professions in the Lubbock region since graduating from Texas Tech University in 1973. In addition to his extensive professional experience, he has served the Lubbock community in many capacities, and was inducted into the TTU Civil Engineering Academy in 1992.
